Reflection - noitcelfeR

Reflection is an active process of looking back on your own experiences and exploring them at a great depth to teach yourself how to progress and grow in future tasks. "Biggs points out; a reflection in a mirror is an exact replica of what is in front of it. Reflection in professional practice, however, gives back not what it is, but what might be, an improvement on the original”

There are multiple reasons on why we should reflect on our past experiences; "Boud, Keogh and Walker (1985) talk about reflection being an opportunity to recapture an experience, think about it and evaluate it. It is the ability to learn from these experiences that is important."

Personally I think reflection can be seen as the core aspect of improving anything in life, if we did not reflect then we would not progress productively as a society. Mostly all decisions that are made in our lives that shape the world around us for the better are made by revising previous problems and re-evaluating them to help us to build a more informed idea of what needs to be done to positively shape the future.

Listen, the next revolution is gonna be a revolution of ideas. - Bill Hicks
