Google Map Adventure

For Contempory Media Issues we were asked to create a story using google maps by choosing places on the map that related to your given location.
I was paired with Gemma and decided to do the untold adventures of Christopher Columbus.

I personally think that an adventure narrative would suit this delivery because you can take the audience literally anywhere on the planet and tell a story along the way. Other stories that would suit this particular delivery would be: A mystery narrative as you could start off in one area and solve clues to advance around the world then ultimately reach an end goal. You present a tour of different areas of the world that are of the same genre, an instance of this could be a tour of all the great waterfalls or the largest mountains.

The user would be enticed by the storyline, it is an interesting, original and entertaining sequel to Christopher Columbus' journey in search of a new land. The story itself is humorous and clever which would keep the reader reading.

This person has taken the concept of using google maps for location based narratives and developed it into a useful guide to a massive variety of different informative maps.

Alfred Hitchcocks 'The Birds' - Strangely good!

I have recently watched 'The Birds' by Alfred Hitchcock as i am studying it for an essay and just thought i'd take the time to tell you how weirdly wonderful it is! It's such a strange concept (Birds go crazy and attack the small town of Bodayga Bay) but the use of suspense and sound by Hitchcock really keeps you watching! At one point i noticed my jaw was hurting because I had my teeth clenched due to the intensity!

Deffinatly one to watch guys
