Film Language exam - The procrastination strikes back!

EXAM, that dreadful word that every student quivers and flees from when it is spoken and this one was no different. A film analysis was to be done and I know what you’re thinking “Joel, you already proved you can do a film analysis no problem!” that would be the truth but this film analysis was in class, timed and we had no remote to rewind at our leisure! Happy days.

I haven’t been the best student this year and have missed a fair few Friday film lectures which obviously means I missed out on the lecturers telling the class that we were to have a class exam. I found out about this exam three days before the deadline and I was bricking it. I gathered up all the information and resources I could and revised like a
rock, hard.

I say I revised hard, which is true but even finding out the test is in three days still didn’t stop the procrastination striking back (Nice little film reference) I ended up revising the NIGHT before the exam and now I’m starting to notice a trend in my academic approach to things.

The good thing is, I’m usually quite good under examination pressure as a lot of things I thought I didn’t remember comes flooding back to my calm, collected, conscious brain and I’m very grateful for it! As a result of this I obtained yet another 2.1! I’m still yet to break my limits and hit a first yet but I’ll just make sure I do next year; this is the first year after all.
